First of all the day was hectic. Hot laps went fine, it was when the heat races rolled around that the trials came. Sitting on the grid we got left behind after a miscommunication of information between track officials and once they noticed me they waved me out on the track then theclutch broke in the car, the clutch breaking set the night up for a fight. After help from another race team with welding, the clutch was fixed in time for the autograph session which led straight into the feature race. We had to start in the very back due to not making the heat. The feature was decent, I was fast but not quite fast enough as I was catching them heading into the turns but they were beating me on exit. After working through 2 wrecks and a couple of cautions we worked our way from 17th to 10th out of 19 cars in a 20 lap feature, not a bad start to Thursday Thunder 2009. We need to keep racking up top 10's and top 5's and consistency will keep us in the top of the points fight. Race 2 was good, next week is expected to be even better. This next week on thursday will be double the feature races which means double the action which in turn means that this will be the race you'll want to see. Tickets for adults are $5.00, kids 6 to 12 are $1.00 and kids 6 and under are free. Come and check out Legends, Bandolero and Thunder Roadster cars in Thursday Thunder 2009.
