2010. An intense string of bad luck.

2010 has proven to be the ultimate test of strength for JW Motorsports and perhaps the most grueling test of all. 2010 has seen 1 devestating crash on the 15th lap of the first race of Thursday Thunder and soon after, a comeback in the very next race that was thought to be impossible for this limited funding team. The following races would prove to be no easier with a head on collision with Tyler Armstrong in the #6 car and a rivalry forming with fellow competitor Mark Swan in the 14 car. The performance of this year has been somewhat of a decline in comparison to recent years at Atlanta with no top 5 finish to be seen so far when 2008 and 2009 saw top 5 and 6 finishes almost weekly. Heading into the 2010 year, it looked bright with everything lining up for the good from having the right set-up, to a new mindset, to a more prepared funding for the team. The funding was not prepared for such a consistancy of trials as this though. With just 3 races to go in the Thursday Thunder schedule and a secure 8th place position in points and closing on 7th, we look to just focus on staying out of trouble with so little races remaining. At the close of Thursday Thunder JWM will be putting the engine of the 23 car up for sale on Ebay and will be advertising for it on all of the social networking sites. This being said, we are on the road to prepare ourselves for 2011 and to have a new engine in the car by then. We are aiming to get more power out of the car and to start finishing consistantly up from every week and become a true force to be reckoned with. We have just simple been in the right places at the wrong time and have made all of the wrong moves in all the right places this year and it has hurt us but if it were easy all of the time we would never know if we could handle this type of testing. All I can say is, let's have some good things happen for a change.

2010 what will it hold for JWM?

After somewhat of a complicated and bittersweet end to the 2009 Thursday Thunder effort, JWM is back and ready for round 4 in the knockout fight for the 2010 Thursday Thunder title at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. In 2009 we we're actually doing very well and pulling good finishes out of the bag when we thought it was least possible with multiple top 5 finishes along with a 2nd place finish in the promoter's choice race during the 4th of July edition of Thursday Thunder's week 5. We had one to many times of frustration and mechanical issues as well as tech related issues. 2009 was no easy road by any means but we got alot of track time in and we also let the competition know that we were a force to be reckoned with. This will be all the more true for 2010 with us having a clean, blank slate to start from, a new set-up and people helping us in the garage area that didn't nessecarily help us in past years. So, long story short, 2010 will be good in the fact that we have a new set-up, new knowledge and more confidence. Let's go get em'. www.jwmotorsports.net
